Jim Jefferies will decide tomorrow whether to risk Andrew Driver from the start against Hibs on Saturday.

The winger has recovered from his knee injury and came through 35 minutes of a closed-door game against Kilmarnock on Tuesday afternoon with no reaction.

Although the Hearts boss is wary of bringing the Englishman back too early, he admitted today that he may be left with little option given the ongoing injury problems affecting the squad.

"We'll have another look at him in training and the decision will be whether to start him or have him on the bench. I'll have a better idea tomorrow morning," said JJ.

"Injuries could dictate the situation as (Arvydas) Novikovas missed the start of the week with a virus although is back now.

"We'll talk to him and see how he feels and also speak to the physio. We took a little chance with him in the semi-final and haven't seen him since. We have that to think about as well as we have other games before the end of the season so don't want to bring him back for just one game.

"We'll decide tomorrow if he can come on or if we can get away with starting him."

Craig Thomson and Scott Robinson could earn a place on the bench after their successful returns from injury in the bounce game.

Still sidelined, though, are Ruben Palazuelos, Ian Black, Michael Stewart, Marian Kello, Ismael Bouzid and Johnny Stewart, while there are doubts over Jose Goncalves, Calum Elliot and Ryan Stevenson.

On Hearts.TV today, Jim Jefferies and Gary Glen meet the media at Riccarton.
