HNT: No more false starts
Hearts boss Jim Jefferies today warned his players to cut out the complacency as they prepare to lock horns with arch rivals Hibs this weekend.
The Edinburgh side went down 3-1 to Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday, failing to recover from a disastrous start which saw the Steelmen race into a two-goal lead within 12 minutes.
An irate JJ blasted his team's display after the game and he stressed today that he's wanting to see a huge improvement at Tynecastle when the sixth-placed Jambos take on the team just one place above them in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
"The first half was unacceptable at Motherwell," he said. "To give two goals of a start to a team playing well and that is flying in the league is not on and that made it very difficult for us.
"We will analyse what happened with the players this week and we have to make sure we are on our toes from the first whistle on Saturday and make sure it doesn't happen again.
"It is a derby, though, a good game to come back to Tynecastle for and we're determined to get a good result after the last couple of disappointments away from home."
