Hearts boss Jim Jefferies today revealed he hasn't ruled out handing Andrew Driver a shock start against Hibs on Saturday.

The Gorgie wing king has been back in full training having recovered from tendonitis in his knee. It was expected he would earn a place among the substitutes for the Capital showdown but JJ told Hearts News Today that the Englishman could yet play a more significant role against John Hughes' fifth-placed outfit.

Hearts and Kilmarnock are due to play a closed door game tomorrow at Riccarton, a match in which Andrew has been pencilled in for around 20 minutes of action. Provided he comes through satisfactorily, Jim could hand the 22-year-old just his second start in over four months this weekend.

"We have a bounce game tomorrow against Kilmarnock and we're hoping to give some of the guys a run out," said Jim.

"I hope to give Andrew Driver 20-25 minutes or so and we'll see how he goes. He has been training without any reaction and if he is okay, then he'll be in my thoughts.

"I certainly haven't ruled him out of possibly starting against Hibs. It's a big game for us as regards the top six and one we all want to win."

Striker Scott Robinson will also feature in tomorrow's friendly as he bids to stake his claim for a return to action against the Hibees.

Calum Elliot, however, is rated as "doubtful" for Saturday after taking a knock to his knee in the weekend defeat by Motherwell at Fir Park.
