HNT: Kucharski in contention
Hearts star Dawid Kucharski is set to return to training tomorrow as he targets Saturday's crucial clash with Motherwell in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
The Pole missed the weekend defeat by Dundee United at Tannadice after injuring his groin against Aberdeen but has been responding well to treatment.
Boss Jim Jefferies expects him to participate in tomorrow's session and is hopeful of having the defender available for the trip to Fir Park.
"Dawid has a chance for this weekend," he told Hearts News Today. "We tested him last week with a view to playing against Dundee United but he didn't make it. However, he's had a few more days treatment and should train tomorrow."
It's further good news for the gaffer, who has seen Andrew Driver, Scott Robinson and Jamie MacDonald all return to full training in recent days.
On the down side, captain Michael Stewart is struggling to make the date with the Steelmen after limping out of the warm-up at Tannadice on Sunday.
The midfielder was forced to watch the match from the sidelines after aggravating a calf injury, with JJ adding: "We're not sure at the moment but we think there might be a slight tear in the muscle and if that's the case then he's obviously going to struggle for Motherwell."
Paul Mulrooney, who impressed after deputising for his skipper at the last minute, went off injured late in the game against the Tangerines. However, he has trained this week and will be available for the trip to Lanarkshire.
"Although I feared the worst at the time, the lad just had cramp, which was understandable after the terrific shift he had put in," added Jim.
On Hearts.TV today, JJ gives the thumbs-up to goal-line technology in an exclusive interview.
