Hearts legends Gary Mackay, Henry Smith and along with assistant manager Billy Brown attended the Portobello Hearts Supporters Club Player of the Year and Race Night on Saturday night (20th February) at the Ship Inn, Musselburgh.

The evening included the Player of the Year award which was received by Ian Black on behalf of Lee Wallace.

There was also an entertaining Q&A session with Billy, Gary and Henry which included a few pre-season tales from years gone by and Billy reminiscing what it was like to work with Jose Quitongo whom he described as, 'a ray of sunshine every morning'.

The races themselves were well supported along with the obligatory raffle and sources so far have indicated that over £1000 was raised for Portobello Hearts and the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust.

Everyone involved would like to thank those who attended on the evening with a special thanks to David Wallace and Carole Johnston for organising a fantastic event.
