Hearts boss Jim Jefferies today urged the fans to get behind Larry Kingston after assuring the midfielder the slate is clean as far as he is concerned.

The Ghana international, who has been sidelined for the past couple of months through injury, had fallen out of favour under former manager Csaba Laszlo.

Supporters had also become frustrated with the playmaker's continuing fitness problems but with the 29-year-old set to win a place on the bench for Sunday's Clydesdale Bank Premier League meeting with Hamilton at Tynecastle, JJ is asking the Gorgie faithful to support Larry.

"What's done is done and in the past and it's a fresh start for everyone, including Larry," Jim told Hearts News Today.

"I've had a chat with him, he's told me his side of the story and says he is committed to Hearts. I will be able to judge very quickly if that is the case.

"He has been training well so it is up to him if he wants to contribute. He has been given another opportunity and it's up to him to take it.

"But I need the fans to support him if he is involved. If Larry plays it is because I can guarantee he'll give 100 per cent. I'll do my job with him but I need the fans to do their job as well."
