HNT: Arvy's future is bright
Hearts boss Jim Jefferies today praised Arvydas Novikovas for his performance against Falkirk, insisting the Lithuanian has a bright future ahead of him.
The teenager made his comeback from injury against the Bairns at Tynecastle and made a telling contribution as the Jambos triumphed 3-2.
JJ is still getting to know his squad but has already seen enough from the young wide man to convince him he can be a key member of his squad.
"I thought that if I played him on Saturday it would be for an hour but he gave us longer than that through necessity," he said.
"I thought his crossing and set-play deliveries were great and he put in some terrific corners - he has that ability.
"He's not the strongest yet but he's a talented boy. When we went 3-1 up he seemed to get a second wind and at the time I was thinking about taking him off. If he could have created another opportunity for us we could have finished the game but he was out on his feet in the last 15 minutes or so.
"I had seen him play before and knew he had the ability but his display was a bonus for me. He's just a young lad and he still finding his way. He's one for the future but a handy man to have around, even coming off the bench."
