Marian Kello has targeted Saturday's league clash with Falkirk as the first of a must-win double-header for Hearts.

The Jambos take on the struggling Bairns at Tynecastle at the weekend before Hamilton head to Gorgie eight days later.

With the Edinburgh side currently sitting in seventh place alongside Aberdeen in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, six points adrift of fifth-placed Motherwell, the Slovakian knows the Jambos can ill afford to slip up in their next two home games.

Addressing the media at today's press conference at Riccarton, the keeper said: "The target is winning our next two home games, no question. If we want to be in the top six we have to beat Falkirk and Hamilton.

"We have massive games left before the split and we have to keep winning, particularly against teams like Aberdeen and Motherwell, to stay in the top six.

"We are in a difficult situation and hopefully we can get up there. There is a lot of work ahead of us."

Manager Jim Jefferies has revealed he regards Marian as his first choice goalie and the keeper was certainly in top form last night as he pulled off a number of fine saves against Celtic, most notably from Robbie Keane.

"It was nice to see him face to face as he is a big name," said the Hearts No. 1. "It was my target to stop him scoring and I was happy to do that. But I wasn't thinking just about him, I didn't want anyone to score against us.

"The manager hasn't told me exactly I am No. 1. He has told me I must fight for my position and I don't want to disappoint him or give him any reason to change me.

"I think it is a fresh start for everyone and I think it is a fresh wind as well."

On Hearts.TV today, Marian looks back on his Parkhead heroics, plus JJ's pre-match press conference.
