HNT: Race against time
Jason Thomson faces a late fitness test in a bid to make the trip to Parkhead to take on Celtic in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League this evening.
The full-back was injured in training last week and is rated as 'doubtful' by manager Jim Jefferies.
However, with a number of other defensive injury concerns ahead of the trip to Glasgow, the Tynecastle boss is keen to have the 22-year-old available and will give him every chance to declare himself fit for the match.
"We have a few problems at the back for tonight's game so it's important we give Jason every chance of making it," he told Hearts News Today.
"He's been struggling a bit with the injury but he's desperate to play and we'll have a look at him this afternoon at the academy before we set off.
"I'd have to say he's very doubtful at the moment but I'm not ruling him out at this stage. We'll see what this afternoon brings and then take it from there."
On Hearts.TV today, watch the pre-match press conference with boss Jim Jefferies and new signing Ryan Stevenson.
