Jim Jefferies is back at Tynecastle this Saturday when Falkirk visit Edinburgh and after 3388 days the long wait will be over.

This week the new manager has spent time with Hearts Media talking about his top five Tynecastle games from last night around. Here's hoping there will be plenty of new tales after a second stint back in maroon! For now, let's hand over to the man himself...

Hearts 1-1 Red Star Belgrade

European Cup-Winners' Cup, first round, second leg
Hearts 1 (McPherson), Red Star Belgrade 1

"This was the first time Red Star, who had changed their name, had got back into Europe after the war troubles. They were a very good side but we went to Belgrade and did fantastically well to get a 0-0 draw there.

"We were just unfortunate in the second leg. We were leading 1-0 through Dave McPherson just before half-time but they got an equaliser in the second half. We battered them after that and were very unlucky not to go through.

"I had been involved as a player in a European tie - Leipzig - and that was pandemonium. There's something just a little bit different about a European night under the Tynecastle floodlights. The hairs on the back of your neck would stand up most of the time.

"This game was my first European tie as manager at Tynecastle and it certainly was a special occasion, despite the result over the two legs not going our way."

Jim Jefferies needn't be the only Hearts hero returning home this Saturday when Falkirk visit Tynecastle (kick-off 3pm).
