HNT: Glen can be great
Striker Gary Glen is set to enjoy a run of games in the Hearts first team as manager Jim Jefferies bids to rekindle the youngster's confidence.
The forward fell out of the picture under former boss Csaba Laszlo but JJ has every faith in the 19-year-old's ability.
Gary was named in Jim's first starting XI. on his return to the Tynecastle hot seat for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with St Johnstone last weekend and was involved again in the Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-final against St Mirren at Fir Park.
Although the front man is carrying a groin problem at the moment, Jim plans to give him every opportunity to make a favourable impression again.
"It's important we get Gary back playing with confidence," he told Hearts News Today.
"When I first saw him he was a terrific prospect but his confidence has taken a bit of a jolt and we have to get him back buzzing again. It's important he gets up every morning wanting to come in to his work and it's important he enjoys himself on the training ground.
"We'll be working hard with him to get him back to where we want him to be.
"Games is what helps players and gives them confidence and I plan to give him a run in the first team as long as he is fit enough."
