Midfielder Laryea Kingston is hoping to return to training in the next few days as he bids to be fit for Hearts' Clydesdale Bank Premier League meeting with St Johnstone.

The Ghana international was left out of his country's squad for their final World Cup qualifier against Mali this Sunday, a hamstring injury picked up after his appearance from the bench against Aberdeen at Pittodrie keeping him sidelined.

However, it is not the same hamstring which has been proving so troublesome in recent months, with the 29-year-old looking to get back into the thick of the action as qucikly as possible.

Meanwhile, Jamie Mole was due to train today after sitting out the sessions earlier this week.

The striker made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in Saturday's goalless draw with Hibs but had to take things easy after taking a knock to his foot in the second half of the Tynecastle derby.

Meanwhile, four Hearts youngsters have been named in the Scotland squad for the Sky Sports Victory Shield clash with England later this month.

Jack Hamilton, Scott Campbell, Ryan Carnwath, Dale Carrick are all included for the match which is being staged at Tynecastle on Thursday, November 26.

Kick-off is 7.40pm, with admission £5 (£2 concessions).
