Ref got it right - Obua
David Obua insisted that referee Brian Winter called it right with the penalty award which clinched Hearts' 2-1 victory over Dunfermline in the third round of the Co-operative insurance cup at Tynecastle.
Skipper Michael Stewart converted the 73rd-minute spot-kick after the Ugandan was sent tumbling in the box by a challenge from Neil McGregor.
Fifers boss Jim McIntyre said he didn't think it was a foul but David said: "There was contact, shoulder to shoulder.
"I felt the contact and I thought the referee had to give one penalty as we had two or three claims before that."
Manager Csaba Laszlo supported his player's point of view, insisting the midfielder didn't dive to win the award.
"I don't think he dived," he said.
"Before you talk direct in this direction you must watch the TV pictures.
"At this moment you had other possibilities for penalties. If you lose the game you try to search for an excuse. I try not to talk about the referee and his performance but I look at the performance of my team."
