Obua's ready for the challenge
David Obua last night insisted that Hearts fans will now see the best of him after a good pre-season.
The Ugandan international netted a powerful strike in the first half as Hearts entertained Sunderland in the final pre-season friendly before Clydesdale Bank Premier League business resumes.
David looked ahead to a potentially fruitful two weeks for Hearts domestically and in Europe. "Next week is going to be really hard." said David.
"We are going to have three games in a week. Hopefully everybody is ready and we can go out there and fight for the team."
The midfielder had a tough start to his career in maroon with injury forcing him to miss out on matches early in the campaign.
Now that he is injury-free and has a good pre-season under his belt David is raring to go and stake a claim for one of the many positions he can play in.
"I was so unlucky last season with my injuries but now I have gone this whole pre-season without injury and hopefully I can go through the whole season without injuries," he said.
"I can play in so many positions but of course I need one position that I can grab and say this is my position but let's see what happens when everybody is fit and we can compete because that's what football is all about."
Meanwhile, Hearts scouts were present to see Dinamo Zagreb crush Croatia Sesvete 5-2 in the Croatian League on Saturday, away from home.
The home side hit back to level twice after Papadopoulous and Mandzukic had put the champions ahead, but after that it was the visitors who prospered in style.
Morales and Mandzukic put Dinamo 4-2 up before Morales struck again, sealing a comprehensive win with a 75th minute penalty.
