During his Tynecastle career, the Gorgie star has missed more games through injury than he cares to remember. But having returned from his latest period on the sidelines during the Jambos' south coast tour - he featured against Southampton and Plymouth - he's keen to stay in Csaba Laszlo's plans.

Speaking at today's pre-match press conference at Riccarton ahead of tomorrow's clash with Bolton, the Hearts playmaker said: "I have missed a lot important games in my career for my club and country.

" I am hoping I will now be fine without injuries."

Laryea is entering the final year of his current deal with Hearts but insisted he would be more than happy to extend his stay in the Capital should the club want to explore that option.

"I have until next summer," he said. "I am happy here and concentrating on playing as much as I can.

"My family comes first and the kids are happy. If tomorrow the club comes to me and says they want to extend my contract that would be good."
