Together once more
From Hearts News in Barsinghausen, Germany
Csaba Laszlo last night told everyone associated with Hearts to stick together ahead of a new season at Tynecastle.
The manager, who explained that Hearts will continue to buy and sell players as the club sees fit, believes last season's mantra of "together" must continue.
Things are different 12 months on with expectations considerably higher, but the same principles apply for Csaba, who is eager to build on the success of last season by strengthening the overall structure of the football set-up.
"After one year we got some success back and now we are in the third position in the table, but the most important thing is to stabilise this position," he said before the defeat to St Pauli.
"I think if we think back to the past and look to this year behind us it was very interesting. We had ups and downs and the finish was ok. The last six games were very important but ok and we stabilised our position in the table.
"At the moment we must stabilise the club structure. I am trying to work with the board together to have a profile for the future.
"I think it will be ok. The board understand my ideas and I understand the ideas from the board. We come very close to having a definition about the club and what we would like to do."
Csaba drew parallels to a young child, newly born, to the Hearts project he embarked on a year ago today.
For the Hungarian, it is about creating the right ethos - and that involves everyone.
"After nine months you produce a child and the child is there," he explained. "Now we must give a name and help it to grow.
"We put something in the table, all together but we must look after this.
"We now have more responsibility and people look to us so we must care even more. This year will be a good year and for me, the club and the supporters. We must care about this.
"Other people would like to take this - this is normal competition -but at the moment my plan is to bring players who have a future and will to work with us and also to bring people from the academy to the first team and keep our position which we have now - or if possible to go a little bit higher."
