From Hearts News in Barsinghausen

After watching Hearts wrack up another scoreless 90 minutes at St Pauli this evening, Csaba Laszlo knows the key ingredient his team is missing is goals.

The Tynecastle boss has worked to redevelop options in midfield and defence for next season and is considering possible candidates to fill the front positions.

David Witteveen is one option currently under discussion, whilst there are others. One thing is for sure - the manager knows it is a top priority.

"Every second game is not easy for us and we always have two training sessions per day," Csaba told Hearts.TV afterwards.

"This is preparation and I told you before that it important to prepare the team for the league and the Europa League.

"If you win 5-0 this is not my attention. I give everyone the chance because we are building a new team. We lost some good players and so to build a new team will take time."

Csaba conceded that he was not satisfied with the performance of his front men in Hamburg.

"We are very average and poor up front and we lost the ball a lot but I am not afraid," he said.

"You saw the David Witteveen who tried to play what we need - a strong striker. At the moment the most important thing is to build a team and then see what happens."

Csaba confirmed he met Vladimir Romanov in the Millerntor Stadion - as he has regularly in planning for the new campaign - and he confirmed that discussions about possible squad additions are ongoing.

Hearts players spend a final night in Barsinghausen this evening before travelling to Aachen later tomorrow where the team will stay ahead of Sunday's final game against the Bundesliga 2 opposition.
