Csaba's hopes for Driver
From Hearts News in Barsinghausen, Germany
Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo hopes that Andrew Driver will continue to develop as a player in maroon next season.
The Gorgie boss is aware that everyone has their price, but if the England U21 international remains a Hearts player, he is sure Andrew will develop well.
Speaking before boarding yesterday afternoon's flight to Germany Csaba told the media. "I look at Andrew and he needs a two-week holiday after playing in the European Championships. He played one game against Sweden and he is now on holiday but I am sure next year he will be also our player.
"At the moment you have a lot of questions but I think Andrew Driver is one who maybe needs one more year with us. He must learn more of the game, he was injured and he played very good.
"I am happy about his performance but you can't forget Lee Wallace and Eggert Jonsson, but Andy, at the moment because of the kind of football he plays, it is interesting for other teams.
"My job as a manager is also to build him up and to give him a chance maybe one time a great club or a better club and if he listens to me, I am confident after we come back from Germany we can meet him and see him full in training and after we see what happens. At the moment our intention is to keep the squad together.
"Every player he must decide about his future himself but he knows what he has here but we must help him achieve more. At the moment, I think about helping Andrew Driver and maybe then Andrew Driver helps us."
And Csaba knows he has other options should Andrew end up plying his trade elsewhere next season.
"We have young players behind him like the young talented Novikovas," he added. "We also have Obua and the competition on the right side is there. Also if Laryea Kingston is 100 percent fit he can play there and we also have Suso.
"We have big competition in every position at the moment and Driver still can show his talent but nobody has a free card."
