Hearts are facing a delay to taking off from here at Edinburgh Airport after the main terminal building was evacuated a short time ago.

The news was broken first on the Hearts Twitter site about 15 minutes ago, and as our exclusive picture shows all passengers who were in the check-in area and other public parts of the building had to leave the building.

Passengers, including the Hearts travelling pool, who were airside have been allowed to stay in the departure lounge.

At this time, no flights are taking off and those that are landing are only do so to the old Turnhouse runway to the east side of the airport.
