Csaba's signing hopes
Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo today revealed he hopes to soon make further forays into the transfer market.
As recent signings Suso and Ian Black joined their new team-mates on the first day of pre-season training at Riccarton yesterday, Csaba stressed that his recruitment drive is very much ongoing.
With the team leaving for a four-game tour of Germany on Monday, the Tynecastle boss continues to focus on strengthening his squad.
Talking exclusively to Hearts.TV, he said: "In a short time I hope to have more players and after that we can talk about the team and the squad.
"We have a little bit of time but we must begin to work and try to quickly form a competitive team.
"I don't like to take players at the last minute but the most important thing is that from Monday we are together."
Csaba says that having Jose Goncalves at his disposal is like another new signing, the former Portuguese U21 international having returned to the club after his season-long loan with Nuremberg.
Pleased as he is to have that extra option at the back, the boss has told the defender he must earn his place in the team.
"Jose is like a new player but nobody gets a free letter to the team," he said. "He must show his talent and find his place.
"It is important to bring quality to the team. If you do that, you have a chance to play for me. If you don't, you must look for an individual sport."
On Hearts.TV today, Csaba reflects on the first day of pre-season training, plus Ian Black discusses his dream move to Tynecastle.
