Hearts supporters travelling to Germany for the Tynecastle side's pre-season tour are being offered the opportunity to register a lead contact in order to receive any last minute information regarding the club's friendly matches whilst abroad.

In recent years late changes to opponents, venues and kick-off times often result in making it difficult to communicate to supporters who are 'on location' - other than via heartsfc.co.uk and heartsfc.wap.com.

Traditionally only a small number of supporters travel to pre-season, but those that do are exceptionally loyal and as such the club wants to make sure that any urgent updates or alterations can be delivered, quickly and directly.

It is intended that a member of the travelling Hearts staff will text any updates to supporters who register - and only if required. The only cost to supporters is standard network charges. This is a one-off communication service and data won't be used for any other purpose. At the end of the tour all data will be destroyed.
