Thrilled to be here - Ian
New boy Ian Black is thrilled to have put pen to paper and finally seal his move to Hearts.
The former Inverness midfielder officially joined the Tynecastle side yesterday, and was formally unveiled at a breakfast media call this morning.
"I am buzzing and ready to go and train," the 24-year-old said.
"I cannot wait to get involved. It is great, not to be back, because I was a supporter and a ball boy, but just to get down to work."
Ian admitted it was an easy decision to make, having toured the club's training centre and spent an afternoon in the company of Csaba Laszlo
"The size, the fan base, the fans themselves and the manager," he said. "The manager played a big part in my decision, the way he goes about his business. I am really looking forward to working under him.
"It was his passion for the game, what he wants to do with the club and the team. Everything he spoke to me about I really enjoyed. It made it really easy for me."
Scoring a winning penalty kick at Ibrox against Rangers in the last minute for his former employers last season probably typifies the spirit that Ian has.
"If you go on that it is a bit of bottle and desire and belief to go and bring something like score and goal and do what's needed," he said.
"I've got a bit of grit but wherever the manger plays me I am sure he knows I am capable of doing whatever."
