And so it begins!
Hearts players eased back into training at Riccarton today - with the real work kicking off in earnest on Monday when the team travels to Germany.
Ahead of a couple of days of intensive tests which will be overseen by fitness and conditioning coach Tom Ritchie, as usual, the players took part in a comprehensive warm-up before two short full-sided games to blow away the cobwebs from a relatively long summer break.
Manager Csaba Laszlo addressed the players as a group, outlining what he expects from them next season and explaining some of the plans in place for pre-season on the hottest day of the year in Edinburgh.
Hearts head out to Barsinghausen on Monday where the team will be based for six days, during which they'll face four stern tests against Goslar 08, Polish cracks Slask Wroclaw, and Bundesliga 2 teams St Pauli and Almennia Aachen.
One noticeable change from recent years is the team's all new training kit featuring white, cobalt blue and navy. Nobody will miss it, that's for sure!
The brand new professional training kit is available to order now from Hearts Direct or from club's stores at Tynecastle and St James Shopping.
On Hearts.TV today - Ian Black speaks about his move to Hearts. Tomorrow catch up with manager Csaba Laszlo!
