Hearts today completed its second signing of the summer with the arrival of Spanish midfielder Suso Santana from Tenerife.

Boss Csaba Laszlo has been monitoring the 24-year-old for some time after seeing him impress on loan at UD Fuerteventura last season and was delighted to secure his signature.

"I think he can do a good job for us," the manager told Hearts News.

"He has pace and also a focus for the goal, which are very positive qualities for the team."

Suso, who joins under freedom of contract, plays on the right-hand side of the midfield and becomes Csaba's second new face for the forthcoming season following the capture of Ian Black from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Suso flew into Edinburgh on Sunday before being shown round the Football Academy at Riccarton and undertaking a medical, yesterday.

The Spanish ace penned a three-year deal and will meet up with his new team-mates on Thursday, when the first-team squad returns for pre-season training.
