The Tynecastle star made his debut for Stuart Pearce's side in the UEFA U21 European Championships, impressing during 70 minutes of the group clash against Germany in Halmstad last week.

The 21-year-old was an unused substitute last night as the Germans strolled to a 4-0 victory in the final.

Csaba told Hearts News today that he was delighted to see his young star perform at such a high level, believing the experience will prove a great benefit to his career.

Although the first-team squad is due to report back to Riccarton tomorrow for the start of pre-season training, Csaba revealed that Andrew has been granted two weeks off to give him the chance of a well-deserved holiday, his return having been scheduled for July 15.

"Andrew will be disappointed at last night's result but I'm sure it was still a great occasion for him," he said.

"It was also a great tournament for him to play in - it is a special moment in a young player's career, definitely.

"The squad is due to get back together again tomorrow but Andrew won't be reporting back just yet.

"I told him he can come back two weeks later than the rest of the players. After the training camp in Germany he will be back training with us.

"He can have a holiday and then join up with the rest of the team after that."
