Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo today reflected on his side's opening fixtures in the forthcoming Clydesdale Bank Premier League season and insisted a good start to the campaign is vital.

The new schedule of matches was released by the SPL this morning and sees the Jambos kick-off against Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday, August 15 before playing host to Rangers the following weekend.

A trip to Perth to take on top flight newcomers St Johnstone is then followed by a home clash against Kilmarnock.

Speaking to Hearts News this morning just minutes after learning of the new set of fixtures, Csaba said: "If I am being honest, I don't look for the opponent but we must play everybody each season. That is the game of football.

"It is in my nature to want to win every game, though and that is what we will be trying to do. A good start to the new season is important.

"First of all though we have to make sure we have a good pre-season and prepare well with the training camp and the games we have arranged.

"After that we can talk about the football."
