Jason's delight at new deal
Defender Jason Thomson today revealed he was only too happy to pledge his future to Hearts after signing a new contract with the Edinburgh club.
The 21-year-old has penned a new three-year deal with the Jambos, an agreement which will keep him in Gorgie until 2012.
Speaking to Hearts News this afternoon, the full-back said: "I am delighted with the new contract. The club approached me with the offer and it's great that my future is now settled for the next few years."
The right-back has been used sparingly this season by boss Csaba Laszlo, although he has proved a reliable deputy at the back for captain Robbie Neilson.
"I thought I did okay when I got the chance this season," he added. "Now I hope to push on and try to play more regularly next season.
"It's a great club to be at if you are young player and my aim is to keep working hard and develop my game."
On Hearts.TV today, Craig Gordon discusses life in one of Europe's top leagues, plus BBC football pundit Chick Young, who was a childhood Hearts fan.
