Airport flies in to support Ratho Breakfast Club
Hearts star Mike Tullberg today visited Edinburgh International Airport to support the launch of the latest AEGON Breakfast Club - and serve breakfast in a truly unique location.
Mike was at Scotland's busiest airport to promote its sponsorship of the local primary school's breakfast club at Ratho.
Also pictured on the tarmac at Edinburgh is the airport's managing director Gordon Dewar, along with Ratho Primary School pupils (left to right) Liam Gallacher, Michael Kerr, Abbi Simpson and Nicola Jamieson.
The AEGON Breakfast Club programme is a unique partnership between the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust, AEGON and the City of Edinburgh Council and aims to deliver a breakfast club to every Primary School across the capital.
Breakfast has been shown to be vital to children's concentration and overall wellbeing, and has been identified as a key priority for children in the capital.
Local businesses are being sought to sponsor a school in their area, via a variety of different opportunities. Already a considerable number have signed up, gaining specific benefits both locally and with Hearts.
Sponsors include KPMG, McGriggors, Skyes, Merchiston, and Building Services. In total there are 28 Breakfast Clubs currently operating across the city.
