Hearts star Ruben Palazuelos today insisted the atmosphere generated by a packed Tynecastle surpasses even the Nou Camp or Bernabeu.

The famous stadium crackled with excitement during Saturday's pulsating Clydesdale Bank Premier League showdown with Celtic as the Jambos fought back to earn a deserved share of the spoils to keep their Euro bid on track.

Tynecastle won the Clydesdale Bank award last season for the SPL stadium with the best atmosphere but Ruben today revealed he believes it stands comparison with some of the game's most imposing venues.

Speaking to Hearts.TV, the Spanish playmaker said: "I like Tynecastle very much and I would say the atmosphere the supporters create is better than Barcelona or Mardrid.

"We have nice fans in a small stadium and everyone is together.

"I have played in Spain and in Greece in some big stadiums with big crowds but the best one is here."

With the new season ticket packages revealed yesterday proving hugely popular with the fans, Ruben is anticipating more big crowds in Gorgie next season and stressed he can think of no better place to be plying his trade.

"I am happy about that and it's good to be here at Tynecastle," he added.

"I am really enjoying it and hopefully we can get as many fans as possible into the stadium next season."

On Hearts.TV today, Ruben's exclusive interview, plus Andrew Driver and the best of the action from Forthbank as Hearts stun Celtic in the SPL Reserve League.
