Heart of Midlothian FC has teamed up with Forth One to sign up for the WWF's Earth Hour.

This Saturday, 28 March, at 8.30pm the club will turn off all unnecessary lights and join the people of Edinburgh with residents in over 1500 cities and towns across the world, to power down for WWF's Earth Hour.

WWF's Earth Hour is a graphic demonstration of support for determined international action on climate change.

Tynecastle Stadium will switch off the lights along with Edinburgh Castle, the Forth Rail Bridge and many other landmark buildings and businesses throughout Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.

A spokesperson from Hearts said: "Heart of Midlothian Football Club is only too happy to participate in this important global initiative.

"We would encourage as many of our supporters as possible to 'sign up and switch off' for the Earth Hour on Saturday, March 28.

"Climate change is a concern for everyone, and the club is delighted to be able to play its part in helping with this WWF project."
