A week before the first team take on Kilmarnock in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, Hearts supporters will wear their colours with pride before stepping onto the Tynecastle pitch in the first Football Aid event of season 2009.

And with only three outfield positions remaining at a Buy Now price of only £195, time is running out for fans eager to secure their name on the team sheet for the match on 29th March 2009.

This year, Jambos fans will be joined by Hearts legends Gary Mackay, Alan Lawrence, Jimmy Sandison and Alan McLaren, who will all show their support by playing alongside and managing fans at the event organised by Football Aid.

Football Aid was developed as a unique and innovative way of raising money for a wide range of charities. Fans have the chance to pull on the famous jersey and play on the hallowed turf of the club they support. And all under the encouraging eyes of the heroes they grew up admiring from the stands.

Enthusiastic Hearts fanatics have been logging on since August at www.footballaid.com with their bid to secure a position in this magnificent event at Tynecastle Stadium. So if you fancy becoming the next Neilson, Nade or Obua, log on to www.footballaid.com to secure your position in the squad!

Football Aid was founded in 2000 by businessman and Football Aid Chairman Craig Paterson, and has so far donated over £1.3m to charitable organisations around the country. Over twenty-five clubs have already signed up to support Football Aid's ninth season, which has over the years allowed almost 10,000 fans to play on the pitch at their favourite clubs ground.

All funds raised from events are distributed through Football Aid's parent charity, Field of Dreams towards diabetes research, education and management projects and also to charities nominated for funding by the clubs involved in these events.
