In-form Bruno Aguiar today played down his latest wonder strike, insisting team success is more important than personal glory.

The Portuguese smashed home Hearts' opener against Kilmarnock on Saturday, his second-half thunderbolt setting the Jambos on their way to a 2-0 victory at Rugby Park.

His effort took his tally for the season to four, making him the club's top scorer, a remarkable feat for the midfielder given the fact he was sidelined for the first two months of the campaign.

While delighted at his form in front of goal, the former Benfica star insisted the priority was for the team to be doing well.

"The most important thing was to get the three points on Saturday," he told Hearts.TV.

"It was good to score again and that's four now for the season. But I don't set myself a target of 20 or anything like that.

"While it is always good to score, the main thing is the team winning. If we can do that without me scoring then that is okay, too."

Bruno had been sidelined by injury for the previous four matches but marked his return to action in superb fashion as the Edinburgh side clinched a vital three points in Ayrshire.

"Winning is all that matters," he added. "It was a good victory for us and now we must look for another one against Inverness this weekend."
