Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo today urged his players to use the Homecoming Scottish Cup victory over Hibs as a springboard to improvement in the league.

The Tynecastle chief masterminded his first Edinburgh derby triumph as the Jambos swept aside Mixu Paatelainen's side at Easter Road yesterday, goals from Christian Nade and Gary Glen completing a comfortable 2-0 win.

Although delighted to have progressed to the next round where Hearts will host Falkirk on February 7, Csaba has already turned his focus back to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

Currently sitting in fourth place in the table, Csaba is looking to pocket as many points as possible in the coming weeks after a disappointing run saw his team slip behind Dundee United in the race for third.

Speaking to Hearts News Today, he said: "It was good to get through against Hibs as the derby was a very heavy game for us. But we deserved to go through and now we are in the next round.

"But we must concentrate on our next game against Kilmarnock in the league - that is the most important one for us now. We can think about the cup again when the Falkirk game comes around but we have important league matches to play before then.

"Our target is getting as many points as we can. My aim of finishing in the top six has not altered and if we can achieve that then we can look at pushing on from there.

"Yesterday's result will hopefully help us as it will give us confidence and we have to try to be more consistent in the league."

Looking at the draw for the fifth round of the Homecoming Scottish Cup, Csaba said the main thing is having home advantage.

"We must play another SPL which is going to be difficult but the important thing for us is that the tie is at Tynecastle," he said.
