Midfielder Kestutis Ivaskevicius has returned to FBK Kaunas following the completion of his loan spell with Hearts, Hearts News Today can reveal.

The 23-year-old Lithuanian has gone back to his homeland after spending two seasons in the SPL with the Edinburgh club.

Kestutis made his debut for the Jambos in September 2006.

Highlights of his career in Gorgie were goals against the Old Firm, one coming in a 3-1 victory over Celtic at Parkhead, another completing the scoring in the 4-2 triumph over Rangers at Tynecastle last September.

Hearts Sport Director Anatoly Korobochka told HNT: "There was just too much competition in Kestutis' position. We would like to wish him all the best for his future career."

Manager Csaba Laszlo, meanwhile, is keeping his fingers crossed his international stars return for training tomorrow unscathed.

Christophe Berra, Michael Stewart, Laryea Kingston, Deividas Cesnauskis, Saulius Mikoliunas, Audrius Ksanavicius, Marius Zaliukas, Lee Wallace, Calum Elliot and Jamie MacDonald are all on duty for their respective countries this week.

With an important Cydesdale Bank Premier League meeting with St Mirren on Saturday, Csaba can only wait and see how the players are when they report back to Riccarton.

"We have a number of players away," he said. "It is a case of waiting and seeing how they get on and how they are when they return to us.

"Hopefully everything goes okay and there will be no fresh injury concerns for the weekend. This is always a problem with international football but the other side is that it is good recognition for the club when we have players involved like this."

Tickets for Saturday's Jambolympics day when St Mirren come calling to Tynecastle are on sale now, priced from just £10 for concessions and £15 for adults. Booking fees apply to some transactions.
