With the Jambos focusing on being as organised and disciplined as possible, Marius knows they key to Hearts success this season will be keeping clean sheets.

"I think the last game was the most important game of pre-season," he identified. "We got more confidence for the season. I think we played good.

"I think we lost two games from Bundesliga 2 teams and now we won against a Premier League team and now we take confidence. This was our last game and now we will be ready.

"I think after our first official SPL game will show about how good our pre-season was.

"The most important thing is to get a clean sheet from the beginning and if we can do that then we will score. 0-0 is not a loss, it is a draw. The most important thing is to get a clean sheet first."

Marius also joined the chorus of people to exclaim the virtues of new manager Csaba Laszlo.

"In the training he is talking a lot in the training session," the defender explained. "If someone does not understand he takes them by the hand and shows them where they need to be. Everyone must be in the right place at the right time."
