Hearts today hailed the success of the club's open day after this afternoon's live training session at Tynecastle attracted 1,800 supporters.

Manager Csaba Laszlo was introduced to supporters for the first time before he put the players through a 50 minute session, the final outing before tomorrow's pre-season friendly against Hull City.

Thereafter seven lucky children got to participate in a penalty shoot out and 'death square' on the pitch with the players.

After a quick shower the players then went to the Gorgie Suite to meet over 500 supporters who stayed on for autographs and pictures.

With face painting, football fun and food to boot it was a superb day, all in.

"We're thrilled that so many supporters came for this morning's live training session," said a club spokesperson. "The players and manager really enjoyed the opportunity to put on an excellent session for the supporters.

"We hope as many supporters as possible join us at Tynecastle tomorrow for our game against Hull City."

As ever, Hearts Media was on hand to capture the best of the action. Take a look at these superb images.
