1998 and 2006 Cup Winners to return to Tynecastle for all-star clash

The Robbie Neilson Testimonial Committee is delighted to announce that Heart of Midlothian Football Club (Hearts) has agreed to take part in a Testimonial Match against a 1998 and 2006 Cup Winners Select for the benefit of Robbie Neilson.

The fixture, which will take place on Sunday 11th May (kick-off 2pm) at Tynecastle Stadium is sure to evoke strong emotions for supporters ahead of the tenth anniversary of the 1998 Scottish Cup victory and the second anniversary of the 2006 triumph.

The committee is pleased to reveal that Stephane Adam, Gilles Rousset, John Robertson, and Steve Fulton will return to Tynecastle for what should be a memorable occasion.

In addition, Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown will return to Gorgie for the day to take charge of the 'Cup Winners Select'.

Further special appearances are to be announced over the next four weeks leading up to the game, with a very strong team predicted to line up against the current Hearts side.

Committee chairman Bryan Dow commented, "This will be a very exciting match bringing together heroes of two very special days in Hearts' history.

"We believe that it will be a very special match, and a fine tribute to Robbie Neilson, who has been a sterling servant to Hearts during his ten years at Tynecastle.

"The committee hopes that it will be a real family occasion at Tynecastle."

Tickets for the match are on sale from 11am today, priced at £8 for adults and £4 for concessions. Cash turnstiles will operate on the day with tickets priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
